As lead Environmental Designer, I created a comprehensive Branded Signage & Wayfinding Master Plan for the 1,500,000 square foot, 65,000 seat Stadium project that serves as a multi-functional venue for the NFL, as well as for a broad range of civic, community, athletic, educational, cultural, and commercial activities. Included in the project are interior & exterior sign systems, gateways, wayfinding, dynamic signage, and more – that reinforce the brand, facilitate the circulation of visitors, sports-fans, tourists, employees and business professionals.
A color system based on the Viking’s striking gold & purple splits the stadium down the center to compartmentalize sections and make navigation more intuitive.
Custom iconography that mimics the angular walls of the interior architecture also features a whimsical viking & gjallarhorn.
Exterior monument signs inspired by the angled walls and faceted plan es of the stadium’s interior
Exterior rendring depicting the U.S. Bank Stadium on opening day
The north and south sides of the stadium are denoted by purple or gold numbers/markers
Wrapped around exposed concrete columns, the signage feels integrated and intentional in the space
